About Regional Center

     All India institute of Local Self Government, Bangalore Centre, began functioning from 1976.  It has been approved by the Government of Karnataka as a recognized Training Cetre for all Government Staff, Local Body Staff, Government undertaking etc. for their need based customized training requirement.  The Bangalore Centre has also been approved by the Para Medical Board, Government of Karnataka.

     The Sanitary Inspector Diploma Course, Local Self Government Diploma, Diploma In Health Inspector, Fire & Safety Course, Diploma in Food Technology, Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital and Health Care Management etc., are being successfully run in this centre. So far about 9000 students have passed out from the centre and they have been well placed in different organizations in India and abroad. Apart from the above, we have conducted over 30 orientation courses on subjects like, Property Tax, Solid Waste management, Health Care Waste Management, Malaria Control, Measures, AIDS awareness, Chikungunya and Dengue Control Measures etc., About 12000 personnel of different walks of life have been trained. We have also conducted certificate Course on Maintenance of Public Toilet with tie up arrangement with Bangalore Mahanagara Palike to support the BMP in its programme of "SWACHA BENGALURU".

     Over 500 successful S.I. Diploma holders of the institute have been absorbed by the Bangalore City Corporation as Health Inspectors / Health Visitor.  Over 200 successful S.I. Diploma holders the insitute have secured job as Jr. Health inspectors in various local bodies under Directrate Of Municipal Administration Bangalore.
