• The All India Institute of Local Self Government, having foreseen the numerous challenges due to rapid developments world and growing cities, felt the need of trained personnel in the field of Fire Fighting. While cities grow with high rise infrastructures, government houses, hotels and industrialization, the risk of fire explosion increases. As the large number of chemicals industries are growing fast with toxic and poisonous gases and other environmental hazards need to be protected.

    Considering the urgent requirement of Fire Fighting Training the Institute approached the Ministry of Home Affairs and also the Ministry Urban Development, Government of India for permission to start an Appropriate Exhaustive middle level and higher level courses. Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India recommended the course and consequently under the guidelines of Government of India, State Governments of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra have also recognized the course. AIILSG has setup a National Fire Academy at Vadodara, to guide and monitor the training programme for specialized fire related courses. The fire related courses command good response.

    The fire Academy not only meets the present short fall of leading Firemen but also offers Sub Fire Officer Course to serve the requirements to met the future National and International Challenges.
