    All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG) has signed MoU with Z_GIS (Centre for Geoinformatics) University of Salzburg, Austria to develop a UNIGIS Study Centre at International Academy of Urban Dynamics (IAUD). The UNIGIS Study Centre will be functional from January 2009 and will offer Profession Course in Geographic Information System.

    UNIGIS International Association (UIA) is the world’s premier distance education network offering programmes in Geographical Information Science and Systems (GISc). It is an expanding network of higher education institutions dedicated to enhance the competence of GIS professionals.

    AIILSG_IAUD as member of UNIGIS INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION will offer postgraduate Certificate & Diploma Courses in Geographical Information Systems by open and distance learning. UNIGIS courses are modular based and flexible study programmes. Their content varies to meet the needs of a geographical region and professional community respectively. Optional modules give the opportunity to tailor a study programme to meet individual student needs and interests; residential workshops and summer schools offer specialized, in-depth knowledge and skills acquisition in the broad areas of GISc.

    IAUD is setting up an international quality GIS lab and Class room for the very best learning experience in Geographic Information Science. AIILSG is linking up with its banking partners to provide financial support (educational Loans) to the aspirants of the course.

    International Academy of Urban Dynamics has been established in partnership with Centre for the Study of Social Change, Mumbai.
