Participation

conference secretariat along with the registration fees after
filling the necessary information in capital letter. All the
participants are requested to register themselves as early as

To be
acceptable for inclusion in the conference proceedings, the
papers must necessarily address one the listed themes.
Abstract of papers of length 200 to 300 words may be sent as
a hardcopy, softcopy or by email to reach the secretariat by
the deadlines given below. Detailed instructions for
submission of full length will be given while communicating
the acceptance of the abstract. |

outcome of the conference |

An action
plan for disaster mitigation and management identifying the
role of governments, international agencies, civil societies
and local bodies, is expected to be evolved at the end of
the deliberations in the conference. |

Travel |
| |
The delegates will make their own travel
arrangement for international travel. The Conference Secretariat at
the AIILSG will assist in their visit to Mumbai and in the vicinity
of Mumbai. |

Help / Accident Insurance and VISA |
| |
The organizers
shall not provide help/accident insurance for the delegates.
Appropriate arrangements for insurance coverage may be made by the
delegates.
VISA is required from most countries to travel to India. The
delegates are requested to make the necessary arrangements with the
Embassy/Consulate in their countries well in advance of travel plan. |

Climate |
| |
The temperature in Mumbai during the
Conference will be moderate and is likely to be in range of 24 to 29
degrees Celsius. Light clothing is recommended. |

Access and Communication |
| |
Mumbai has excellent air
connectivity with most international destinations. The Chhatrapati
Shivaji International airport of Mumbai is about 20 kms from the
main city. However, the venue is likely to be within 5 km of the
international airport. |
