Rural Under-Privileged Children
  • The Project focused on serving & enriching education to Slum Dweller Children in remote rural & tribal areas of Satara district of Maharashtra.
  • Under this model, Shikshan Ranjan Kendras (SRK) or Children’s Resource Centres, are established. Wherein, 16 Shikshan Ranjan Kendras (SRKs) are established in 16 villages of Satara.
  • Total beneficiaries are 1728 which includes slum dweller children, their parents & school teachers.
  • Students attendance in school increased from 65% to 90%
  • Total 16 Bal Panchayats were established
  • Capacity  building of 809 parents completed
Urban Under-Privileged Children
  • This project is implemented in slums of Thane & Pune city of Maharashtra
  • Under this Model, 3 Shikshan Ranjan Kendras are active and running (One at Thane and other two in Pune)
  • Total beneficiaries are 1728 which includes slum dweller children, their parents & school teachers.
  • Total 16 Bal Panchayats are established
  • Capacity  building of 809 parents completed
Urban Under-Privileged Children
  • This project is addressed to the issues of the disadvantaged children from Bhivandi and Malegaon cities.
  • The focus is on reaching those disadvantage children who fall behind in learning and who tend to miss their schools or who are disinterested in gaining education due to lack of parental support & guidance.
The Shikshan Ranjan Kendras have become centres of learning, eploring and a creative space for students to express themselves.
