A program – Specialist Dispatch Project was arranged for waste management by “Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR)” in collaboration with AIILSG in India. Under the Specialist Dispatch Project, Japanese local government officials who have knowledge or technical skills in various fields are dispatched to local governments as specialists. These specialists will contribute to improving the quality of local administration, technical expertise, human resources and Knowledge transfer in the overseas local governments. This project is run by individual local government with support from CLAIR and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in Japan.
It was arranged from 12th to 18th February, 2017; in which program on 13-15 was arranged in Porbandar and for remaining days, in Ahmedabad. On the 16th February, 2017 at Ahmedabad, this programme was arranged for the North, Central & South zone Municipalities. All the chief officers of these 96 Municipalities & Commissioners/officers of 4 Municipal corporation was invited.
Followed by the Speech of Mr. Kogure, appreciating AIILSG & India for such hospitality. Later on, Japanese Expert Mr. Wakako Naohiro, delivered the lectures in Japanese language regarding to the information of Solid Waste Management, which was interpreted by Mrs. Anjana Shinoda in English/ Hindi to the audience.

- Measures for Solid Waste Management
- Comparison of SWM between Toyohashi and Ahmedabad cities
