International Women Day with Hastashilp Vikas Sansthan

Girl Power project along with Hastashilp Vikas Sansthan organised awareness meet on International Women's Day, March 8th 2022.

The one-on-one meet was organized at Bhelwara of Sadar Block in Hazaribagh District in which approximately 70 women participated. Dr. RK Gupta, Project Director, Girl Power Project along with Rekha Devi, Ward member, graced the event. Rahul Pathak, State Project Coordinator, Girl Power Project coordinated the event along with the Secretary of Hastashilp Vikas Sansthan.

Dr. R. K. Gupta addressed the women and motivated them to be independent and self-reliant. Rahul Pathak also addressed the women and mentioned about Girl Power Project implemented by All India Institute Of Local Self Government is constantly working towards the betterment of the society by helping women to become independent and social entrepreneurs by utilizing the resources available. The representative of Hastashilp Vikas Sansthan introduced few Women who were able to make bamboo handicrafts products, sanitary napkins, incense sticks, face mask. Besides this, they were also involved in activities like goat and pig rearing and in poultry farming.

Further, Project Team made women aware about their rights and various government schemes, which offer them loan to start their enterprise and concluded the meeting.

Jayshree Devi, Palak Kumari and Kalo Devi, Geeta Devi, Rajni Devi, Gudiya Devi, Malti Devi, Neetu Devi, Poonam Devi Rubi Devi, Jugni Devi, Sunita Devi, Sabit Devi, Reena Devi, Neha Kumari and others were present at the occasion.
